You have your own company, you want to develop a new product, service or simply a new concept – but you are scared that will not match with your customers. To be sure that it will work, you have to make some marketing research.

The first question and the most important is “What do you really know about your customers?”

Do you know their ages? Where they live? How much money they make? How many kids they have? Do you know where else they shop? How they make buying decisions? Why they come to your store? Does your staff treat them well? Do you even know if they like your company?

If you’re like most small-business owners, you’ve rarely asked, even though these are the basic questions of marketing. Most large corporations wouldn’t dream of making a major decision - introducing a new product, service or opening a new location for example - without knowing the answers to these questions. In fact, they ask these kinds of questions continuously, often contracting specialized market-research firms to conduct surveys, assemble focus groups and analyse their website traffic to learn more about who their customers are and what they want. They understand that market research is the key to knowing what to sell, how to sell it and to whom to sell it.

But this kind of marketing research are quite expensive for your company. And gathering, analysing, and sharing responses is not always easy, it requires a lot of time, and it is often a source of discouragement even before creating your survey. So do it by yourself! Brew Survey is an application designed to make its users life easier by creating questionnaires. You can ask all the questions that you need to know your costumers. And the application makes your life as easy as it can be. An analysis of your survey is available in the “view details” section of the “Responses” tab. Detailed insights include total number of unique respondents, average time of complete the survey, completion ratio, drop-off from surveys, etc. You will also be able to easily export these results into an excel file from the dashboard itself.

If the results are positive, your idea is great. If negative, then you can get to know where to do the modifications, well in advance.
